Profile: In 1980 Joe King Carrasco formed the Crowns featuring Vox organ-driven Tex-mex pop and soon the band was playing chic New York venues and generating lines around the block. Signing with England's legendary Stiff Records, he toured extensively consistently delivering high energy performances. Joe King Carrasco - The King of Tex-Mex Rock and Roll. In the early 1980's a bizarre sound dubbed 'nuevo wavo' came blazing out of East Texas. A demented mash-up of the Sir Douglas Quintet and the B-52's, Joe 'King' Carrasco in all his manifestations, solo, with the band El Molino, with his other band The Crowns, was a high-energy entertainer who delivered amazing live performances that made him a regional legend. Part novelty act, part punk, part.

We Adore You, Lord. Our father in heaven, king of glory, faithful father, we adore your name. The Word has more power to move people into worship than whatever clever liners we can come up with. So, there you have one more reason to be a student of the Bible. When we speak God’s Word in faith to our people, the worship easily shifts to another level. Unitarian Universalists use different terms for the words that begin a worship service, including call to worship, invocation, and opening words. These words invite the congregation from their separate lives and to the common place and time of the worship hour. (In Unitarian Universalist worship if there are Opening Words there is generally not an Invocation, and vice versa.). Opening words for worship service.
